Nope, I didn’t make a mistake asking a question rather than making an affirmation. Like you, I am still stuck, trying my way out of my forking comfort zone. And ladies, this is so hard…
Up to this moment, although I know that:
“The comfort zone is a psychological state in which one feels familiar, safe, at ease, and secure. You never change your life until you step out of your comfort zone; change begins at the end of your comfort zone.”
― Roy T. Bennett
And that I should:
“Live beyond your fear. This is your life, the good, the bad, all yours. The change you want is beyond your comfort zone. If change was within your comfort zone, you would be wherever you want to be, but it isn’t. The best in life is past our comfort, into our fear and beyond it.”
― Avina Celeste
Still, here I am bounded by my comfort zone.
Even knowing so well that:
“Living in your comfort zone can even be more stressful than pursuing your dream. So why are you accustomed to your stagnant life?”
― Oscar Bimpong
Why? And still I have no idea. Maybe I am still here because that is what I deep inside believe and I am doing instead:
“It’s not about getting out of your comfort zone to reach your goal. It’s about widening your comfort zone so far that your goal fits comfortably inside. Once you do that, hitting your goals will be like hitting 3s for Steph Curry.”
― Richie Norton
Or because:
“Coming out of your comfort zone is tough in the beginning, chaotic in the middle, and awesome in the end…because in the end, it shows you a whole new world !!
Make an attempt..”
― Manoj Arora
And I should focus more in the end part rather the ones in the beginning or middle. That could make it easier…
And trust me, I do make some attempts and although it feels like I am stepping out of there cause:
“If you are growing at all, you are never in your comfort zone.”
― J. Earp
And I do feel that I am learning, growing… But still, this feeling does not last that long. It feels as if I am always back to my comfort zone.
Maybe I should mantra this then:
“Sometimes we have to step out of our comfort zones. We have to break the rules. And we have to discover the sensuality of fear. We need to face it, challenge it, dance with it.”
― Kyra Davis
It sounds so inspiring… especially for me who loves to dance… But first I need to get what the heck is this sensuality of fear she is talking about…
Or maybe I need to reconnect with my dreams first…
“People who have their dreams fulfilled are those who go outside their comfort zones to fight for their dreams.”
― Clement Ogedegbe
Maybe, that is why…
Although… dreaming might not be a sure bet…
“Comfort zone has the most comfortable bed in life where dreams become alive in your mind but never become a reality because you never get up from bed to make it happen.”
― Oscar Bimpong
Or maybe, that is why I once stopped having a dream to begin with…
“When we get too comfortable, we stop dreaming.”
― Joyce Rachelle
Or maybe I am that person who likes to play safe…
“If you opt for a safe life, you will never know what it’s like to win.”
― Richard Branson
Or have a limited reach…
“Change happens when you extend your reach. Your comfort zone is your enemy. As long as you play it safe, you will never become all that you are destined to be.”
― Germany Kent
In any case all I keep saying to myself is:
“Get off your comfort zone, there is no comfort there.”
― Gift Gu
And:
“The best things in life are often waiting for you at the exit ramp of your comfort zone.”
― Karen Salmansohn
Woo-hoo!
And still, here I am, cozy-ish in my comfort zone…
