Well, apparently I didn’t. Because all my life I always washed my face very quickly, around 10 seconds in a good day, perhaps. And if it wasn’t by the latest controversy on Social Media this week involving Kylie Jenner and a video she posted showing her face-washing routine using one of her products I probably would die without knowing that 10 seconds is not enough to wash my face properly.

I swear.
Oh, yes, according to the dermatologists and skin specialists you should wash your face for at least 20 to 30 seconds. Oily skin needs the 30 seconds washing because that is how long it takes to break up the sebum. If you don’t spend that “much” time washing your face, you are not really cleaning it.
And when I say you should wash your face for 30 seconds I mean, first wet your face a little bit and put the proper soap, foam or whatever you use to do it and when you start rubbing it all over is when you start counting for 30 seconds. And yes, you should rub it gently for 20-30 seconds.
Got it?
Let’s see if there will be an improvement in my skin from now on.
And how about you? Did you know that?
